Crux Named Finalist for APM Social Project of the Year Award
Crux’s project management team has been shortlisted for the prestigious Association for Project Management (APM) Social Project of the Year Award, recognising their outstanding work on a low-cost respiratory drug delivery device. Developed with funding from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the project exemplifies our commitment to innovative solutions with global impact.
Addressing Global Health Challenges
The Covid-19 pandemic has highlighted the need for accessible medical technologies worldwide. Our project aims to meet this need by developing a novel delivery system capable of administering drugs throughout the entire respiratory tract. Designed for accessibility in low and middle-income countries, the device has the potential to offer widespread humanitarian relief and enhance global pandemic preparedness.
Our device reflects our dedication to pioneering solutions that directly improve lives and transform communities worldwide. The project’s potential to offer broad-ranging social benefits motivates us to continue pushing the boundaries of medical device design.
To ensure our device meets the needs of its intended users, our team coordinated remote usability studies in South America and India. Through global collaboration, we developed five distinct concepts tailored to address regional challenges.
A Step Towards Better Global Health
Our shortlisting for the APM Social Project of the Year Award recognises our project management team’s hard work and dedication. This nomination is just the beginning, with the project’s potential to offer broad-ranging social benefits motivating us to continue pushing the boundaries of medical device design.
